I celebrated Dr. Seuss’s birthday the best way I know how- by reading of course! I visited three schools in Oxford for Read Across America Day!

I started the morning at Oxford Elementary with some of the cutest kiddos! I wanted to share some of the Seuss books they might not have heard before, so we read If I Ran the Circus! They were so excited to get pictures after. I’m not sure if I have ever felt more love than I feel walking into a first grade class with a crown on; they attack me with hugs, and it is too cute!!!

Next, I headed to Oxford Intermediate with my small group from church to visit a class of vibrant and oh so sweet special needs students! We read, we played, we danced and we laughed lots! I loved being able to serve with my D group in this way.

My final stop of the day was at Magnolia Montessori. I have never seen such sweet and polite kids! We read Thidwick the Big-Hearted Moose. It was even one of the student’s birthday, so we sang to her as well!

“Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one!” Loved celebrating such an inspirational figure like Dr. Seuss!!!
