One of the most exciting weekends of the year comes each February… Miss Mississippi Orientation! I had an incredible weekend in Vicksburg with the other 44 candidates vying for the state title, my Magnolia Princesses, my mom and my directors!

It was an especially big weekend because it was my mom’s birthday! She is truly the most selfless person I know. I am so glad I got to be with her to celebrate!

The first night of Orientation we did recording for the show and interviews for TV and radio, turned in paperwork, and got to select our placement in the lineup. I am excited to be candidate #40 in the C Group!

Day 2 was full of rehearsals! We learned our production numbers for the show and got to spend time with our Magnolia Princesses! I cannot wait to take the stage again with Maddie Kay, Raylee and Callie Thomas! We had so much fun playing with these squishy bananas, and I loved giving them canvases that I thought reflected each of their personalities.

Our final day was spent learning lots of information about the months leading up to the competition as well as the week of the pageant. It got me so excited to be in Vicksburg in June!

I can’t wait to see all of my sister queens back in Vicksburg in a few months!
