One of my favorite parts of being a titleholder is visiting classrooms, and I have had so much fun sharing my platform, STEM: A Blueprint for Problem Solving.

Getting to show students how they can incorporate the lessons taught in STEM into other areas of study and their everyday lives is so rewarding. Our nation is struggling to stay competitive with other developed countries in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math; because of this, it is vital for our students to embrace the lessons of STEM and apply them to problem solving in all areas of life in order to ensure a thriving economy in the future.

Guiding the students through the Dancing Gummy Worms experiment, reading a book called Ada Twist, Scientist, and guiding students through the IDEAL problem solving strategy are all ways I help students recognize the relevance of STEM to get them excited about participating fully in these courses.

Thank you to all of the schools that have welcomed me into their classrooms to share my message!
