One of the highlights of the semester has been taking Dance 254, one of the tap classes here at Ole Miss. It was a bit intimidating taking class with so many phenomenal dancers, but they quickly became great friends, have inspired me and continually pushed me out of my comfort zone. This course was exactly what I needed to be stage ready for the prelim season!
One of the dancers in my class was Mrs. Shirley. We all agreed she’s our goal for the future because she is in her 80’s and is still tapping like a pro! She has been so encouraging and has shown me how lucky I am that one of my favorite hobbies is something I can do forever. I’m going to miss my tappers!
