I had an incredible time meeting with the State Treasurer of Mississippi, Lynn Fitch, to discuss ways that we can partner together to help overcome the financial illiteracy problem that our state is facing.
Treasurer Fitch has launched a TEAM program that promotes financial literacy, has worked to create policy on the subject, and has partnered with the Board of Education to get the ball rolling on implementing curricular in schools across the state. I am looking forward to Guiding Youth to Financial Freedom together!
While in Jackson, I was able to take a tour of our beautiful state capitol building. It was really cool learning more about Mississippi history and seeing the gorgeous building. I can’t wait for many more trips to Jackson in the future!
