Thursday night I had the privilege of attending the Arkansas Special Olympics opening ceremony! I led the athletes onto the track as they made their way around the field with their teammates, coaches, and friends. I got to hug and high five so many of the athletes.
I was so inspired by the children’s positive attitudes towards the games & their disabilities and how they were overcoming stereotypes. So many people think they have to fit the “typical athlete” mold to be active, but these sweet kids are proving that stereotype wrong everyday! It was such an honor to be apart of this amazing event!
