The contestant meeting was, by far, one of my favorite times as Miss Metro’s Outstanding Teen. All 35 contestants competing for the MAOT crown headed to Hot Springs for an incredible weekend. Although our big outdoor plans were ruined due to a massive rain, our productions director, Frank Byers, did not fail to impress. On Saturday we did lots of filming that will be shown during the pageant next month and we also had a pool party! Sunday morning we turned in paperwork, received details in regard to the pageant, and had the lottery for our spots in the competition. I am very pleased with my position in spot B-28! Most importantly, this weekend I really bonded with many of the sweet girls in my MAOT class. I do not think I have ever laughed so hard! This weekend was one I will not forget. I can’t wait for the pageant next month!
