Homecoming weekend was a major highlight of my Junior Year so far! I had the amazing opportunity to ride in the Homecoming Parade on Friday evening. I loved getting to see so many students, faculty and Oxford natives on campus and on the Square for the parade. Two of my best friends, Bea and Savannah, drove me, and we had an absolute blast!
Cheering on the Rebels to victory over Vanderbilt Saturday afternoon was so fun! This game raised moral for our fans, and we were so happy to win on homecoming weekend. 4 of my sorority sisters were on the Homecoming Court, and I was so proud to support them as they were welcomed on the field. My parents came to town; I always love having them in the Grove!
On Sunday, I competed in my first Miss prelim which was the Miss University pageant. I was ecstatic to have been named the 1st Runner Up and Overall Swimsuit Winner. My sweet friend and dressing room buddy, Charley Ann Nix, was crowned Miss University, and I can’t wait to see her represent us this year!
Weekends like this remind me how proud I am to be a Rebel and how lucky I am to live in Oxford! I love you, Ole Miss!
