2016 has been one of the best years yet! There have been some amazing new opportunities for leadership and service, participation in pageantry and a whole lot of fun as well!

At the beginning of the year, I judged the Miss Los Angeles County Pageant in California, placed in the top 10 at the Ole Miss Parade of Beauties and had the privilege of watching my little sister be crowned Miss Spirit of Arkansas Outstanding Teen! I loved these opportunities to stay plugged in with pageantry.

The spring semester was an extremely busy one with sorority and fraternity functions as well as continued involvement with Ole Miss Cru (an on campus ministry that leads students to faith), Tri Delta and the Panhellenic Council as my sorority’s Junior Panhellenic Delegate and Task Force member, and the Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Seminar as one of the head Junior Counselors.

I had the most amazing summer serving as a counselor at Camp Ozark in Mt. Ida, Arkansas. I had the incredible opportunity to work on the ropes course and canopy tour everyday, mentor campers age 7-9, help share the Gospel with dozens of children, and make friends with counselors from dozens of different universities across the country. It was an extremely challenging yet overwhelmingly rewarding job that I will always be grateful for. This past semester I was able to serve as a Campus Rep at Ole Miss and help with the recruitment process for the 2017 summer!

Right after camp I headed back to school for my sophomore year, and the best time of the year had arrived- football season! It was a rough season for Ole Miss, but I loved cheering on the Rebs regardless. Hotty toddy!

In mid-October we welcomed home some precious new dolphins to the Tri Delta house! 5 amazing girls from Arkansas were inĀ our new pledge class along with over 100 other new members. It was so exciting and rewarding seeing our hard work pay off on bid day. Shortly after rush week we elected a new slate, and I am so proud and honored to serve as our new Panhellenic Delegate!

The fun continued my first semester of sophomore year when we kicked off swap season, formals and date parties. Dressing up to the fun themes and spending time with my sorority sisters is always a blast!

2016 has been an unforgettable year with so many amazing opportunities for growth. I cannot wait to see what 2017 will hold!
