What an amazing semester it has been so far during Year 3 at Ole Miss! I can hardly believe that midterms have come and gone. It seems like classes just started yesterday!
Words can hardly describe how excited I was when football season finally began! Win or lose (we have been doing more of the latter lately), not many things bring me more joy than cheering on the Rebels. I finally had my first #RoadRebs experience as I traveled to Tuscaloosa to watch the game. I can’t wait for more fun times in the Grove this season!
One of the most exciting, nerve-wracking, challenging, rewarding and special weeks of the year was a couple of weeks ago: sorority recruitment! I had the amazing opportunity of serving on the Panhellenic Judicial Board; I helped with logistics and accountability and advised Potential New Members. After a two month period of disaffiliation, I was so excited to swim home to my sisters at Tri Delta for a fun 80’s themed Bid Day!
As a Banking and Finance major, I have LOVED having to opportunity to serve as a MoneyThink mentor at Lafayette High School. Each week I visit a classroom of high school seniors and share valuable lessons on saving, budgeting and spending. I have really enjoyed connecting with my group, and I can’t wait for more fun weeks of MoneyThink!
I also began serving as an Honors College Ambassador this year. I have been able to share with prospective students at official visit days for the university about my experiences in the Hoco, and I write letters each week to seniors that are considering Ole Miss. If you know me at all, you know that the Honors College is one of my favorite things, so this has been an amazing experience!
I can’t wait to see what the rest of this school year brings. I am loving Junior Year so far!
